In the spirit of keeping challenges on the horizon and myself fit I have decided to look into another epic endurance event for the start of 2008. The search has coverred various places and events. This is an event organised by the same team that do the Tour D’Africa and is in the jungles of belize mixing it up among the temples and gulf of mexico. The ride is a seven day 750km mtb trek through the belize tropical jungle passing malyan temples. From my research the riding is on local trunk roads and jungle tracks so not technical just long through murderous mud.

I have got to make a final decision in the next few weeks but it look like the christmas hangover and winter blues will be kicked into touch with this event in Jan/Feb 08. I am marketing this to my old Cape Epic partner, Phil Smith, to encourage him to get back onto his steed. More news to follow…
